Snoopy Yellow collar
Cora von Aleman AKA "Daphne"
I wanted to let you know that Cora (who now goes buy the name Daphne) is doing very well. She is very smart and picks up on new commands quicker than any dog I have ever had. She is also extremely loyal to Sarah and I, as well as my mother, who likes to take her on her morning walks. She doesn't seem to make friends with new people quickly, yet forms a very strong bonds when she does. However, she has never shown the any aggression toward outsiders; she at most only barks. She even lets my 8 month old nephew pull and poke at her and only licks his face in retaliation; they seem to be big buddies.
She has been exploring the woods and fields around my parent's house and is very curious about everything. The other day I took her down to the Little Red River where my wife's parents live. She was very interested in the moving water and loved to paw at it. After awhile of pawing she jumped in, which was an action she regretted, as the Little Red is a very cold river.
Overall she has been excellent. The only things we are still working on are her excessive barking and her love of chasing cats, both minor problems.
Thanks again for the great dog,
Cora is a very smart and independant puppy that loves to explore new situations. She carries herself condifently, she walks tall and is not scared of new objects or sounds. She is sable and will look very similar to her dad when full grown. She can be just as affectionate as he sister Chloe so she would make a great family pet that requires an affectionate yet independant dog to guard their property. Cora is also an ideal cantidate to be a service dog (just like her grandmother Ulu vom Aleyeska) because she is more idenpendant and does not require constant attention.
